Big Data Solutions for Female Labor Force Participation

Young Arab Leaders joined its community partner, Emirates Foundation, in holding the Breakfast Club for Social Investment focused on big data solutions for female labor force participation. The event held at The Address Hotel Dubai Maria on February 23rd was hosted by EF Managing Director, HE Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan. The forum’s distinguished panel of speakers includes ESAG Director of Retail-YAL Chairwoman Muna Al Gurg and Khayarat Founder-YAL Vice Chairwoman Najla Al Midfa.

Job creation has long posed a challenge to Arab economies & despite calls for labor market & education reform, remains critical & acute for women. Even with progress in female education enrolment, MENA has the lowest rate of female labor force participation in the world. Low oil prices & reduced government spending mean labor market efficiency has never been so important. Engaging 50% of the population is no longer a luxury but a fundamental need.
