The Arab world represents a culture with a rich history of exploration, scientific and technological inquiry and education, trade and multi-cultural experiences. The demographics of the region – the largest number of young people in the world under the age of 16 - suggest that a new wave of burgeoning entrepreneurs with the same cultural DNA is available to be encouraged, nurtured, and developed. Yet, few mechanisms exist in the region for innovative – and, specifically, emerging - entrepreneurs to build their skills, connect with partners/capital providers, and build cross-regional businesses that are globally relevant from the beginning.
As such, and through the entrepreneurship track, YAL seeks to empower young Arabs with practical working tools and relationships that can enable them to serve the large populations of the Arab world and beyond.
