The Young Arab Leaders (YAL) in partnership with the Arab Business Angels Network, DIFC Centre of Excellence and Larta Institute; have embarked on a program designed to cultivate innovation and entrepreneurship. This program will be piloted in three key markets: Jordan, Egypt and United Arab Emirates and is intended to uncover results and models which can be carried through to other key markets.
The programs main objectives are to:
- Become the focal point for the cultivation of an environment where knowledge, resources and connections with the world of business and business "know-how" are presented to young entrepreneurs, with the goal of seeding a continuing cycle of innovation, creativity and employment for youth in the region
- Serve as a primary platform where mentoring, adopting, socializing and networking of young entrepreneurs from both emerging and more established companies (startups and early-stage companies) in the region, can be accomplished, through its membership
- Help re-launch the “Arab” brand by serving up quality ideas and opportunities to a global audience, and thus increase prospects for Arab entrepreneurs to attract investors, partners and customers to the region
- Focus the attention and interest of policymakers and stakeholders in the region on the challenges and opportunities associated with innovation and entrepreneurship, with a view to overcoming the challenges and optimizing the opportunities. These would include: fostering connections between the scientific, technical and technological research in the Arab world with commercialization pathways and expertise
